Sooner State Security Consulting was founded to provide practical, experience-based security consulting for homes, businesses, and commercial properties across Oklahoma.

Our approach is built around awareness, preparedness, and identifying vulnerabilities before they become larger problems. We believe security should be practical, straightforward, and tailored to the real-world environment — not based on fear-driven sales tactics or one-size-fits-all solutions.

The company is led by a former U.S. Army Airborne Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer with over seven years of military service operating in high-risk and security-sensitive environments where situational awareness, adaptability, and decision-making under pressure were critical on a daily basis.

During his military career, he completed Airborne training and earned both the Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB) and Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB). He deployed twice to Afghanistan on combat tours — first as an infantryman and later as a Tactical Explosive Detection Dog (TEDD) handler — and also served in South Korea in a forward-deployed environment requiring constant readiness and awareness.

He trained and graduated from Vohne Liche Kennels (VLK) and received certification through the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in imprinting canines on specific explosive odors. His background also includes operational training alongside both military and contracted K9 teams.

In addition to operational experience, he served in leadership and management roles including Fire Team Leader, Stryker Vehicle Commander, Battalion Fire Marshal, and Facility Manager for multiple buildings. These positions required responsibility, attention to detail, leadership, safety oversight, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments.

His experience also included training and mentoring personnel, developing instructional classes, overseeing safety-related responsibilities, and serving in leadership positions requiring organization, accountability, and decision-making in fast-paced environments.

Following military service, he continued to closely follow the evolving security landscape, modern threat trends, vulnerability awareness, and risk reduction concepts affecting both residential and commercial environments today. Nearly a decade later, that continued focus on preparedness, awareness, and evolving threats remains a core part of the company’s approach.

That same mindset is now applied to civilian environments through professional, non-invasive security consulting focused on awareness, preparedness, vulnerability reduction, and practical recommendations clients can realistically apply.
